about
Off the Album "Radio" Los Angeles based artist Aleksandr “Exile” Manfredi is not the first in his family to create music. His father Albert Trent Manfredi (RIP) has released some now sought after 45’s in the mid to late 1960’s, and like father-like-son, Exile has continued the family tradition.
Exile, known for his group Emanon w/ Stones Throw recording artist, Aloe Blacc, as well as his production with Blu (Below the Heavens) and Fashawn (Boy Meets World), has created some of the most memorable hip hop moments of the last few years, often hearing both critics and fans say that Below the Heavens and Boy Meets World were some of the best complete albums of the last 5 years. Bottom line, Exile makes classic records.
His latest album “Radio” further pushed the boundaries creating an album entirely sampled from Los Angeles radio waves, and the remix album to “Radio” will drop summer 2010.
In addition to his album work, Exile has worked with Ghostface, Slum Village, Snoop Dogg, Pharoahe Monch, KRS 1, Evidence, Alchemist, Blame One, DJ Day, and many others.
